Dr. Heather Buckle, ND, FABNO

Dr. Buckle is one of a handful of Naturopathic Physicians in the Pacific Northwest to have completed training in a hospital based residency in Integrative Oncology, and who is also a Fellow of the Board of Naturopathic Oncology (FABNO).  She completed residency at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Zion, IL, in 2010, and stayed on as staff until June of 2014.  As a result of this training and clinical experience, Dr. Buckle has gained unique skills and knowledge to provide the best, most comprehensive Integrative Oncology care, working side by side with Medical, Surgical, and Radiation Oncologists.  She is now uniquely able to help patients in the Pacific Northwest experience the best in Integrative Oncology care.    Dr. Buckle is a licensed Naturopathic Physician in the state of Washington, and is also certified in IV Nutrient Therapy.

Dr. Buckle graduated with her ND degree from Bastyr University in June 2008.  She completed her undergrad degree, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Washington in 2002.  During her studies at Bastyr, Dr. Buckle was awarded an NIH-funded, pre-doctoral research training fellowship from the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM), completed at Bastyr University Research Institute, Kenmore, WA.

Other research experience includes:  Working with an interdisciplinary team designing a research protocol to investigate whether or not a Naturopathic protocol can improve fatigue scores  in patients receiving conventional treatment with chemotherapy who report acute chemotherapy fatigue, and working with an interdisciplinary team designing a research protocol to investigate the effects of a Naturopathic protocol in addition to conventional adjuvant treatment in analytical breast cancer patients.

Dr. Buckle is currently a member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OncANP), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), Society of Integrative Oncology  (SIO), and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians  (AANP).

Dr. Buckle is very excited to be back in Seattle to provide excellence in Integrative Oncology care to patients in the Pacific Northwest.  In her free time, Dr. Buckle enjoys spending time with her family and enjoying all of the outdoor activities the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

Dr. Buckle is currently a participating provider in the CUSIOS (Canada, US Integrative Oncology Study).
