Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept my insurance provider?

Yes, these are the insurance plans contracted: Molina, United HealthCare, Regence, Premera, Cigna, First Choice, Kaiser Permanente (PPO only). Although Dr. Buckle has contracts with these insurance providers, all plans are different. Please verify that you have benefits to see a naturopathic doctor by making a quick call to your insurance plan.

NOTE: The only Medicare plan Dr. Buckle is contracted with is Premera Medicare Advantage.

What is a Naturopathic Doctor?

Naturopathic doctors are educated and trained in accredited naturopathic medical colleges. Dr. Buckle received an ND degree from Bastyr University in 2008. NDs diagnose, prevent, and treat acute and chronic illness to restore and establish optimal health by supporting the body’s inherent self-healing process. Rather than just suppressing symptoms, naturopathic doctors work to identify underlying causes of illness and develop personalized treatment plans to address them.

What is integrative Medicine?

The term Integrative medicine describes a method of employing the best of natural medicine with the best of conventional medicine, to support the best outcomes for patients. What the combination looks like for each person is individualized to their specific needs.

How do I make an appointment?

You may use the “schedule now” button on the website to request a spot to be reserved for you.  Dr. Buckle’s assistant will then call you to follow up and confirm. Or, you may call the clinic directly at 206-643-2239 to request your appointment.

Do you work with children?

Yes. Since 2014 Dr. Buckle has worked in a gastroenterology specialty clinic managing digestive conditions in children and adults alike. She’s helped hundreds of pediatric patients with IBS symptoms. She can help you get to the root cause of your child’s IBS and get them back to feeling like a kid again.

How do you see patients?

Due to Covid-19, Dr. Buckle sees patients exclusively via telemedicine. Special arrangements can be made if she deems that a patient absolutely needs a physical exam.

Do you see patients via Telemedicine?

Yes. Dr. Buckle uses doxy.me, a real time audio/visual platform, for seeing patients virtually. A link is sent with the appointment reminder the day before. You can log on with a computer or phone. Please make sure you are not driving for the entirety of the visit.

COVID-19 Health & Safety Measures

Due to Covid-19, Dr. Buckle is seeing patients exclusively via telemedicine, with few exceptions. If she deems that a patient absolutely needs a physical exam, the patient will wait in the parking lot until their appointment time and will be invited up via text. No patients will be waiting in the waiting room. Ample time will be given between patients to allow for air circulation, in addition to rigorous cleaning of the exam room and other surfaces.
